Fitzgerald ISU novel
The quote that was expressed was absolutely accurate in regards to literature. When you are reading a novel or a piece of literature you become a character in the novel. You feel like you belong and are part of the story. The story line also usually entertains you. It is a new world that you become and belong to. Fitzgerald was one of the great American authors. His books alone always keep the readers engaged and able to be apart of the story. Reading keeps you entertained and never bored. When you begin to really enjoy a certain book it is a struggle to be able to put the book down. This just shows how involved with a book a person can be. The love of reading it very much expressed here in Fitzgerald's quote.
Frogs Play Unit
The ancient play unit taught us a lot I thought. The one thing that I really noticed was that us as the readers related our regular day life to the play. The play Frogs is known as a humorous play. The humor that was in this play was similar to the humor that we have today. This helped with the understanding of the play. This could also be one of the main reasons why we still study these types of plays today, so we can see how it relates to our lives. We can compare the similarities but also observe the differences that take place in the play.
Some specific obstacles that I personally found I had to overcome for my dramatic reading was the pronunciation of words. Especially the names of the certain people in the play. I faced it with confidence, which helped me with my presentation. I enjoy very much presenting and acting things out. I find this is a strength I have discovered. I very much enjoyed participating in the dramatic readings.

The Reading I Enjoy
Through out my life I haven't always enjoyed reading. I found when I was quite young I couldn't focus on reading for a long period of time. When I attended grade 1 we were given readers and asked to read them to our parents. I recall reading these readers always to my father but after the first 15 minutes of me reading he would soundly fall asleep, I don't blame him one bit, they were quite boring. My siblings and I always were extremely energetic. We would always be running around, playing hide and go seek, or creating some sort of trouble in the house. Therefore I never really found time for reading. But once I began attending the other grades such as grade 6,7 and 8 my reading patterns began to improve. My first real series I enjoyed was the Shopaholic series written by Sophie Kinsella. Most recently I have found my love for reading. This past summer I read some of my most favourite books. They happened to be Looking For Alaska by John Green, Fault in Our Stars also written by John Green, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald and Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. I can truly say now that I have grown to love the act of reading.
Passonate About Assignment
I found my strongest part in this project was the
scriptwriter as well as the performer. My ability to perform has gotten quite
good through out the years and I have become very comfortable with doing this.
I enjoy acting as well, which helps immensely. I enjoyed very much writing the
script for this play. Seeing how we had no limit with topic the limit was
endless. This allowed us to be extremely creative with whatever we chose. Hearing
all of the radio plays demonstrated the creative ability of the class. The students
very much enjoyed creating the plays themselves. The students were passionate
about the project, which makes for an enjoyable assignment. When passion shows
it tells the teacher that the students really tried with their assignment. These
are the things I learned personally while working on my play as well as
listening to the plays.
